At Dayspring Christian School, we understand that the middle school years are a pivotal season in a child’s development—academically, emotionally, and spiritually. These formative years are a unique opportunity to instill meaningful, faith-filled values that shape students’ character and guide their decisions for life. Our middle school program is designed to meet students where they are, equipping them with the tools, skills, and confidence they need to thrive in high school and beyond.
We believe students learn best by doing. That’s why we emphasize a project-based learning approach that brings academic content to life through creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Arts integrated projects encourage students to apply what they’ve learned in meaningful, hands-on ways using a variety of materials and creative art forms.
Group projects foster peer collaboration, helping students develop teamwork and communication skills while producing high-quality, shared outcomes.
Individual projects give students opportunities to strengthen their independence, self-direction, and personal accountability in their learning.
Middle school is a crucial time to develop executive function skills that will support lifelong learning and prepare students for the demands of high school and college.
Our program helps students grow in:
Time management and goal setting
Organizational strategies, such as maintaining a daily planner and managing assignments
Study techniques like effective note-taking and test preparation
Self-monitoring, responsibility, and perseverance
In today’s technology-driven world, digital skills are essential. At DCS, we integrate computer education into our curriculum to ensure students are well-equipped for the future.
Typing and computer applications classes teach students to type with proficiency and gain fluency in Google Workspace tools.
Internet safety and digital citizenship are a key focus, including how to recognize and report cyberbullying, and how to responsibly engage in online environments.
Research and information literacy skills are developed through guided instruction on finding credible sources, evaluating content, and properly citing information.
Spiritual formation remains at the heart of everything we do at Dayspring Christian School, and our Daily Discipleship class is a cornerstone of the middle school experience. This dedicated time each day helps students deepen their personal relationship with Christ and equips them to live out their faith with confidence and purpose.
Bible Reading Time helps students explore Scripture, reflect on its meaning and apply it to real-life situations
Guided discussions create space for reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth in a supportive classroom environment
Prayer and Worship is emphasized allowing students time to connect with God personally
Through Daily Discipleship, our students aren’t just learning about God—they’re learning to walk with Him daily, building a foundation of faith that will guide them well beyond the middle school years.
Each middle school class includes Biblical worldview integration, helping students connect their faith to all areas of learning
