At DCS, we offer a variety of opportunities for students to build meaningful friendships and grow socially and emotionally—both inside and outside the classroom. Through after-school clubs, field trips, performances, and school-wide events, students connect, collaborate, and thrive in community.

DCS House System for Elementary and Secondary
The DCS House System is a school-wide community structure designed to foster unity,
character development, and leadership among students and staff across all grade
levels. Each student and teacher is assigned to one of four Houses, each rooted in a
biblical virtue: Courage, Compassion, Peace, and Respect. These Houses create
smaller, family-like communities within the larger school, encouraging cross-grade
relationships, spiritual growth, and a strong sense of belonging. Through shared
activities, competitions, and regular gatherings, the House System offers students
ongoing opportunities to demonstrate Christ-like integrity, support one another, and
develop servant leadership skills.
Throughout the school year, students earn points for their House by exemplifying Godly
character, integrity, and active participation in school life. The administration awards
points based on nominations from teachers and staff who recognize students living out
the school’s core virtues. The House that accumulates the most points is honored with
the House Cup Trophy at the end of the year, highlighting the collective effort of each
community. This system aims not only to build school spirit but also to shape students
into leaders who reflect Christ in all they do, fostering a culture of respect, compassion,
courage, and peace throughout the entire school.
